Thanks Gavin! The 9850 X3D would be a good choice for a new gaming build, but I fully agree, if you already have a 9800 X3D, there's really no reason to swap it out for its slightly faster sibling. Depending on price (i.e. a big difference), even the 7800 X3D could be worthwhile if the savings are big enough to pay for one full step up on the GPU, such as from 8 to 16 GB VRAM. Because that difference in performance can be huge.

One question about the AI/ML Benchmarks: can that Benchmark use AVX 512? If so, it would explain why the eight core Ryzen outperformed the 8P + 16E core 285K in tokens/minute.
